Why do I need Vector images?
Think about the pictures you take on your phone or the images you save from the internet and share them with your friends. If you try to resize those images, you’ll find that they look kind of blurry or pixelated. In short, vectors are what professionals use.
You may have never heard of “vector” before, but it’s essential when it comes to printing images. Let’s get to know more about these types of graphics and just why they matter.
Ok, what is Vector Art?Â
Vector art is a technical term that refers to the use of mathematical algorithms to create images and illustrations through software such as Adobe Illustrator and CorelDRAW. With vector, you can easily scale, modify, or resize an image without hurting its quality.Â
To see this in action, take a look at the images pictured here:
Image A
This is a JPEG image like the ones you’d take on your phone. Notice how Image A becomes distorted when its dimensions are changed. You can clearly see that the edges are pixelated, almost like in a funhouse mirror.Â
Now look at the same image again, only this time it’s in a vector format:
Image B
You can resize image B, and it will no longer look distorted. The image was resized, but it still looks much better than Image A. That’s the beauty of vector graphics!
Because of the way a vector file can be enlarged without distortion, they’re ideal for logo creation, website design, or promotional items. M13 Creative_ uses applications, such as Adobe Illustrator, to create your logo, it gives you the flexibility to use it not only for the very smallest of uses (like a favicon), but it can also be enlarged for use on billboards, signs, and much more without a problem.
